Hylotyte Red is a semi hardening gasket compound which allows for quick and easy dismantling for service and repair work to be carried out.
Its chemical composition helps prevent corrosion between dissimilar metals. It is resistant to petrol, oil, steam, water and antifreeze solutions and dilute acids, such as battery acid.

Hylotyte Red 100 is a synthetic, semi-hardening jointing compound that has excellent gap filling properties. Hylotyte Red 100 is resistant to a wide range of fluids, especially water (including salt water), anti-freeze, and synthetic oils.
These properties mean Hylotyte Red 100 is highly effective at sealing pitted or roughly machined surfaces, particularly those in contact with water, anti-freeze, corroded or roughly machined surfaces.
The product has an operating temperature range of -500°C to 1800°C.

- It is excellent on flanged and screwed joints.
Usage
- Apply directly to surfaces previously cleaned, which are free from contamination such as rust, grit or grease.
- Once applied, leave for a few minutes to allow solvent to evaporate before closing the joint.
- On threaded joints apply compound directly into threads taking care to ensure excess does not enter into fluid pipes or oilways.
- Clean any excess compound away with methylated spirits.
